According to ACP Naveen Sharma, Hemant had told a friend that Grewal was coming to collect money and asked him to join him.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>Around 6pm, the two were discussing the transaction when an argument broke out. During the altercation, Grewal allegedly pulled out a pistol and shot Hemant in the forehead at point-blank range before fleeing.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>\u201cThe victim lived with his family including three kids and wife on the ground floor of the paying guest accommodation,\u201d a police officer said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>Hearing the gunshot, Hemant\u2019s wife raised an alarm, following which neighbours and PG occupants gathered at the spot.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Hemant was initially taken to Kalyani Hospital in Sector 14 and was later shifted to Fortis Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>After receiving information about the shooting, a Sector 14 police team reached the hospital and began an investigation. Based on a complaint filed by Hemant\u2019s friend, a murder case was registered at Sector 14 police station.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>\u201cGiven the seriousness of the crime, teams from Sector 14 police station and Crime Branch Manesar were immediately deployed to trace the accused. <!-- -->Their efforts led to Grewal\u2019s arrest from Delhi within 4-5 hours,\u201d ACP Naveen Sharma said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>During questioning, police found that Grewal had retired from the Indian Army in 2024. He and Hemant had become acquainted through a common friend.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>The investigation revealed that Hemant had borrowed around Rs 6.5 lakh from Grewal in 2021, which eventually led to the altercation, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>Police are questioning Grewal in detail and conducting searches to recover the weapon allegedly used in the crime. Further investigation is underway.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>Hemant\u2019s body was handed over to his family after an autopsy on Wednesday.<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a
