<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nGUWAHATI: Ramanuj Goswami, accused of beheading his wife and storing her severed head in a refrigerator, on Tuesday said he has no remorse and now plans to kill his wife’s ‘sugar daddy’ next.Goswami made this chilling remark to reporters while being taken for a medical examination.“I have no regret and no apology for whatever I did. I’ve eliminated my wife, and the moment I am out of jail, her sugar daddy is next.” He, however, did not identify the person he called his wife’s ‘sugar daddy’.Police arrested Goswami on Sunday night for allegedly killing his wife, Riya Talukdar, at their flat in Basisthapur in Guwahati’s Beltola area on the morning of Sept 3.Investigators recovered Talukdar’s severed head, packed in a polythene bag, from a refrigerator inside the flat. A machete, locally known as a ‘dao’ and allegedly used in the killing, and several liquor bottles were also seized.The couple had married on Sept 22 last year.Goswami was produced before a local court on Monday evening and remanded in police custody for seven days.A police officer said, “The interrogation of the accused is underway. The interrogation so far has revealed that there were frequent arguments between the couple over various issues including the alleged extramarital affair of the deceased, which the accused told the police during interrogation. On Sept 3, they had an argument and the accused lost his temper and committed the crime.”The allegation of an extramarital affair was made by Goswami during questioning and has not been independently established.Originally from Gauripur in lower Assam’s Dhubri district, Goswami had been living in the Guwahati flat for the past few years.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Ramanuj Goswami, accused of beheading his wife, stated he has no remorse for his actions.
