He welcomed India\u2019s intention to facilitate a peaceful resolution of the conflict.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>India will host the BRICS summit on Sept 12-13. While China is yet to officially confirm President Xi Jinping\u2019s participation, diplomatic sour\u00adces said he\u2019s likely to arrive Saturday and have a bilateral meet with Modi the same day.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>India &amp; Russia exploring cooperation on rare earths<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Modi and Putin had met on Aug 31 on the margins of the SCO summit in Bishkek. In their bilateral meeting Friday, the two will look to ramp up trade, energy and defence ties.
