He added that \u201ca similar mechanism also exists in the western sector\u201d.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>Jaiswal said the high-level military dialogue in the eastern sector followed foundational agreements reached between the special representatives of both countries in Aug 2025 and May-Aug 2026 and subsequent working mechanism for consultation and coordination (WMCC) meetings held in Beijing and New Delhi.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>On normalisation of relations between the two nations, he said, \u201cIndia-China ties are gradually moving in a positive direction. This gradual normalisation of ties, people-to-people ties are very important. The Indian Army guards the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh through two primary formations: the 3 Corps and the Tezpur-based 4 Corps.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>The eastern sector Corps Commander\u2013level talks followed a high-level visit to China by National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, during which both nations agreed on joint measures to ensure peace and stability along the LAC.
