He is currently ranked eighth among men\u2019s amateurs and has already shown that he can compete at the highest level.The son of European Ryder Cup legend and LIV Golf star Ian Poulter, Luke has big ambitions of his own. He is representing Great Britain & Ireland at the Walker Cup and is preparing for life as a professional. He is also set to make his PGA Tour debut next year after receiving an exemption into the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.<\/p>\n Luke Poulter was born on May 22, 2004, and has emerged as one of the most exciting young golfers in the amateur game. He plays college golf for the Florida Gators at the University of Florida.His performances have already attracted plenty of attention. Poulter has reached as high as No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. He has also enjoyed success in college golf. He helped Florida win an SEC title and secured his first individual tournament victory.Poulter has also impressed in match play. He went 3-0 during the SEC Championship Match Play event. His performances have highlighted the competitive edge that has long been associated with the Poulter name.He is now competing for Great Britain & Ireland at the Walker Cup. The prestigious event features a format similar to the Ryder Cup. It includes fours and singles match play.Luke is making his second appearance in the competition. He earned the nickname \u201cMr. Ryder Cup\u201d because of his performances in the event.Ian Poulter played in seven Ryder Cups. He won 15 matches, lost eight and tied two. Most notably, he remained unbeaten in singles, winning six and tying one.He also collected 17 professional victories during his career. His achievements include three PGA Tour titles and 12 DP World Tour wins.Ian is now backing his son to build his own legacy. Luke\u2019s next major step will come on the PGA Tour. His debut is expected next year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
