Dice president Paul Farnsworth told Fortune that forward-deployed engineers are increasingly seen as the fix for that gap.<\/p>\n The financial upside is significant. Lightcast figures shared with Fortune put the median advertised salary for forward-deployed engineers above $188,000, well ahead of the roughly $145,000 typical for a traditional software engineering role.
