President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal on him in recognition of his distinguished service during the operation.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>The medal is awarded for the highest order of distinguished service during war, conflict or hostilities. <!-- -->It remains one of India\u2019s rarest military decorations. Mishra\u2019s appointment brings to the Trust a senior leader with extensive experience in operational planning, coordination, logistics and managing large formations.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>In a recent podcast interview, Mishra spoke about the air campaign during Operation Sindoor and explained how Indian forces identified and struck targets deep inside Pakistan. He originally belongs to Bhopatpura in Deoria district, around three hours by road from <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/ayodhya\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ayodhya<\/a>. He comes from a middle-class family and his father was a lecturer.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>As CEO, Mishra is likely to oversee day-to-day administration, pilgrim facilities,
