The source described the neighbourhood as a \u201cwonderful colony in the upper Hollywood Hills with a lot of celebrity power.\u201dJolie listed the property, located at 2000 De Mille Drive, for around $30 million in May. The actress bought the estate in June 2017 for $24.5 million, about nine months after filing for divorce from Brad Pitt.Madonna previously owned a mansion in Hidden Hills, which she sold for $23 million in 2023. She had purchased the property from singer The Weeknd for $19.3 million in 2021. The singer currently owns properties in New York, London, Bridgehampton and Portugal.Jolie had previously said she planned to leave Los Angeles once her children became adults. Her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turned 18 last month.Inside Jolie’s <\/span>historic Los Feliz estate<\/span>The gated estate has a long connection with Hollywood history. It was once owned by legendary filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille, who purchased the property in 1916. His family retained it until the late 1980s.The 2.1-acre estate features a Beaux Arts mansion built in 1913, along with a swimming pool, pool house, guest house and studio, tea house and garage. The property also offers views of the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Observatory.The five-bedroom main house includes a chef’s kitchen, mahogany-panelled dining room, large living room, library and arched windows. The primary suite features a marble fireplace, sitting room, spa-style bathroom, dressing room and terrace.The estate is located inside Laughlin Park, a gated enclave of around 60 homes. Past and present residents of the neighbourhood include Natalie Portman, Kristen Stewart, Brie Larson, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard.During Hollywood’s golden era, the area was also home to stars
