The Red Bull star will take on 100 drivers in a unique go-kart race at Silverstone on September 16.<!-- --> Verstappen will start at the back of the 101-driver field and try to overtake every competitor.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"3\"\/>The event, called Max vs 100, will be broadcast live on Disney+ and ESPN. The race will feature athletes, streamers, content creators and fans from around the world. A purpose-built circuit has been created at Silverstone for the unusual event.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2><b>What is Max Verstappen\u2019s Max vs 100 event?<\/b><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Max vs 100 is a special go-karting event designed around one simple idea. Max Verstappen will have to fight his way through a field of 100 drivers. <!-- -->Unlike a normal race, the Dutchman will not start from the front. He will begin in 101st place.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>His challenge will be to pass all 100 drivers and reach the front. The event will take place at Silverstone, the famous home of the British Grand Prix. A new circuit has been built specifically for the huge field.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>The track was designed by former racing driver and karting world champion David Terrien. He has created the layout to handle 101 karts at the same time.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>The event will take Verstappen back to where his racing journey began. The Red Bull driver first drove a go-kart when he was just four years old. By the age of seven, he was competing in championships.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Karting played a major role in developing his racing skills. Verstappen learned how to start races, defend positions and make overtaking moves.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Verstappen is excited about returning to karting.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>\u201cIn go-karts you learn all the basics: starts, defending, overtaking. <!-- -->Of course, I spent a long period of my life go-karting, so it\u2019s always nice to return. It\u2019s about understanding the grip of the go-kart. I\u2019ve done so many years in go-karting that you quite naturally get back into things\u201d, Verstappen said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>However, Verstappen knows the race will be chaotic.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>When asked what he was most looking forward to, the four-time champion gave a simple answer.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h3><b>Who will race Max Verstappen?<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>The 100-driver field will include competitors from different sports and areas of entertainment.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"36\"\/>Ultrarunner Arda Saat\u00e7i will take part. Basketball shooting specialist Chris \u201cLethal Shooter\u201d Matthews is also set to race. Freestyle mountain biker Matt Jones will be among the drivers as well. Popular streamers TheGrefg, Caedrel and TheDonato will also get behind the wheel.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/>The rest of the field will include content creators, personalities and everyday fans from around the world. The complete list of 100 drivers will be confirmed before race day.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"44\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h3><b>When and where to watch Max Verstappen\u2019s Max vs 100 event?<\/b><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>Max vs 100 will take place on September 16 at Silverstone.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"47\"\/>There will be no spectators at the venue.
