The heartwarming gesture came to light in a KCTV5 report published August 24, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Travis Kelce surprises young Chiefs fan at training camp<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Every summer, the Kansas City Chiefs move their training camp to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. For Patrick St. Louis, an assistant head coach at the university, the arrangement already carries a personal connection. <!-- -->He grew up near Arrowhead Stadium and has supported the Chiefs for years.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>\u201cI rooted for the Chiefs. I grew up not far from Arrowhead and always have been a Chiefs fan,\u201d St. Louis said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>His connection to the Chiefs also gave his sons a rare chance to see their favorite team up close. When St. Louis learned that the Chiefs tight ends would be using his room for meetings, he and his children decided to leave behind a small surprise.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Eight-year-old Grey wrote a direct message for Kelce:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>\u201cYou\u2019re my favorite tight end Kelce, please sign it,\u201d Grey said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>St. Louis placed a Kelce jersey, two photographs of his sons and Grey\u2019s handwritten note inside the meeting room. The family did not know whether Kelce would notice them, much less sign them.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>That uncertainty made the wait even more exciting.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Travis Kelce\u2019s autograph turns into a family memory<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The family kept checking for an answer as the weeks passed. Kelce receives a huge number of autograph requests, so nobody wanted to assume that their small gesture would receive a response.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>\u201cEvery day, they\u2019re like, \u2018Is it going to happen? Are we going to have his signature?\u2019\u201d St. Louis\u2019s wife, Chastity St. Louis, said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>She tried to keep expectations realistic while the family waited.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>\u201cEvery day I had to just make sure that they were okay, so I\u2019m like, \u2018If he doesn\u2019t sign it, it\u2019s okay. We will try again next year,\u2019\u201d Chastity St. Louis said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/>Then, on the day Kansas City wrapped up training camp, the family finally received the news they had been hoping for. <!-- -->Kelce had signed the jersey and the photographs.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"38\"\/>\u201cSo they send me a picture of the jersey and the pics of the boys that we\u2019d put up and he had signed it. I was just shocked,\u201d St. Louis said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"40\"\/>Grey was equally overwhelmed. \u201cI was just shocked. I could barely talk and I was really happy,\u201d Grey said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>His brother Aiden had an even simpler reaction. \u201cI would have to scream \u2018eee!\u201d St. Louis\u2019s son Aiden said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"45\"\/>For Chastity, the excitement spilled across the entire office. <!-- -->\u201cI went around my whole office: \u2018He signed it! He signed it,\u2019\u201d Chastity St. Louis said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"49\"\/>The family now plans to return the kindness with friendship bracelets for Kelce. Ten-year-old Aiden said the idea came from seeing Kelce exchange bracelets himself.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"51\"\/>\u201cRemember when Travis Kelce showed Taylor those friendship bracelets?
