The Cupra Kiro driver also proved his mettle at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, where he drove the much-anticipated Formula E GEN4 car. As the season came to a close at the London E-Prix, Ticktum finished 15th in the Drivers\u2019 Championship. The driver shared his thoughts with fans in a video on Instagram, where he also opened up about the issues that concerned him during the season. Ticktum is yet to secure a confirmed seat for Season 13.<\/p>\n After the championship finale, Dan Ticktum shared a video on Instagram and captioned it: \u201cTis the end of another season. Been one of the worst I can remember in terms of luck and various other factors. Nevertheless, a massive thank you to everyone at @kiroraceco for their relentless efforts. I\u2019ve enjoyed my time at the team on the whole. #formulae.\u201dSpeaking about the finale in London, Ticktum said in the video: \u201cIt is the end of another season in Formula E. Today’s proceedings were not great. I had an issue in qualifying with the brakes, which meant that I couldn’t challenge for pole. I really think we had probably the fastest car on the grid today. Then in the race, we went for an early Attack Mode, which was not the right strategy call, if I’m honest.\u201dID@undefined Caption not available.\u201cSo yeah, enough about that. But then there was some questionable driving out there from Mr Cassidy defending from me, for which he only got a warning. Don’t really understand why he was defending like his life depended on it from me. We weren’t fighting in the championship, neither were our teams. So I guess he either just hates Porsche or he wanted to help his fellow countryman Mitch out,\u201d he added.He further said: \u201cEither way, it was quite pathetic and I think Dan Ticktum from two years ago probably would have put him in the fence. This is a mature Dan Ticktum these days, believe it or not.\u201d<\/p>\n Dan Ticktum is currently without a confirmed seat, with the team yet to confirm whether he will continue into the GEN4 era. Speaking about his future, he said, \u201cAs you know, don’t have a seat for next year, but working on things. Really hope to be in GEN4, and just a message for my team. A massive thank you for everything they’ve done for me over the last few seasons.\u201d\u201cIt’s been a tough, tough old time of it, but some incredibly talented people in that team, and it’s been a joy to be there for the most part. So thank you, and also thank you very much for the overwhelming support from the fans this year. I’ve really felt a lot of positivity for a change, which is nice, and yeah, I think people are starting to cut me some slack. So appreciate that, and I hope to be on the grid in GEN4 and hopefully see some of you soon.
