After opening to an impressive first weekend, the film successfully cleared the Monday test and held steady on Tuesday as well. The sequel is benefiting from the lasting popularity of the original Awarapan<\/span>, which, despite an underwhelming theatrical run, eventually gained cult status thanks to its soulful music and emotional narrative.According to Sacnilk, Awarapan 2<\/span> opened with Rs 22 crore on Friday. Collections surged by around 55 percent on Saturday, when the film earned Rs 33.75 crore. The jump was aided by the Independence Day holiday as well as an increase in the number of shows, which went up from 9,033 on Friday to 10,496 on Saturday.The film collected Rs 26 crore on Sunday before experiencing the expected post-weekend decline on Monday. Despite the drop, it remained stable with Rs 9.25 crore in earnings. Tuesday, which marked day five, brought in another Rs 9.75 crore, with the number of shows also seeing an increase.However, the film witnessed a 16 percent dip on Wednesday, day six, earning Rs 6.75 crore. With this, Awarapan 2<\/span> has taken its India net collection to Rs 107.50 crore.
