commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Supreme Court<\/a> on Monday asked the Allahabad high court not to proceed with a case against Lok Sabha leader of opposition and former Congress president <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/rahul-gandhi\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rahul Gandhi<\/a> involving allegations of disproportionate assets.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>The top court also directed the <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/cbi\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBI<\/a> and Enforcement Directorate (ED) not to submit any probe report to any authority, including the Allahabad high court, in connection with the alleged assets case arising from an investigation ordered by the HC.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"10\"\/>During the hearing, the CBI said that if the complainant\u2019s allegations were found to be true, the matter would amount to a \u201cgross disproportionate assets case\u201d.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>The apex court also asked the Allahabad HC to defer its August 20 hearing in the matter until the Supreme Court
