Banks will remain closed on several days this month, with the dates varying from state to state depending on regional festivals and local observances.For customers, this means a quick check of the holiday schedule could save an unnecessary trip to the branch. This week, banks in Tripura will stay shut on August 19, on the birthday of Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur.Apart from festivals and other national and regional events, banks also remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month under the RBI’s holiday guidelines.<\/p>\n
