Her work in business and philanthropy has given her a platform of her own, with children and education often at the center of her efforts.One of the clearest examples came in 2018, when she joined K+ Organics as a founding partner. The company focused on creating healthier sports drinks for young athletes. At the same time, Savannah also played a visible role in the charitable work connected to the James family, including education initiatives that have committed more than $40 million.<\/p>\n Savannah James did not enter the children’s beverage business simply because it fit her family’s celebrity profile. Her motivation came from a problem she noticed while raising three children who played sports.In May 2018, Forbes reported that Savannah had partnered with Velana Col\u00f3n as an investor and co-owner of K+ Organics. The company aimed to offer a sports drink designed specifically for children rather than adapting products created for adult athletes.Savannah explained her thinking to Forbes in 2018, saying, \u201cIn this day and age, there are so many more healthy alternatives for adults than we had… growing up, but it\u2019s frustrating to still not see healthier options for kids.\u201dThose remarks capture why the venture is important to her. Savannah was looking at the market from a parent’s perspective. In March 2018, K+ Organics announced a new Lemonade flavor developed with Savannah. The company said the 16.9-ounce drink contained 80 calories and included vitamins B5, B6 and B12.<\/p>\n Savannah’s business work represents one side of her influence. Her connection to LeBron James’ philanthropic efforts shows another.The James family’s education work in Akron grew significantly through the I Promise initiative. The LeBron James Family Foundation partnered with the University of Akron in August 2015 to provide eligible students with a pathway toward a four-year college scholarship. The initiative later became closely associated with the James family’s broader commitment to education.The SportsRush previously reported that the foundation had pledged nearly $40 million toward scholarships for underprivileged students. More recent Times of India reporting has also described the LeBron James Family Foundation as having committed more than $40 million toward education initiatives.Savannah’s role matters because her philanthropy has never stopped at one project. In 2016, she helped Akron high school seniors with prom dresses through her I PROMise Makeover initiative. She also founded Women of Our Future, a mentorship program aimed at supporting high school girls in Akron.That makes the $40 million figure part of a much bigger family effort rather than a standalone donation by Savannah herself.<\/p>\n Savannah’s entrepreneurial path started before K+ Organics. In December 2013, she opened The Juice Spot, a cold-pressed juice bar in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood. She developed the concept with her trainer, David Alexander, and focused the menu on juices, smoothies and light bites.The Juice Spot eventually closed after the James family moved back to Cleveland. Eater Miami reported in January 2016 that Savannah struggled to manage the Miami location from afar after LeBron returned to Cleveland.She also entered the furniture business, working with American Signature on the Home Court collection.
