The 31-year-old actress was arrested after railway personnel reportedly became involved in a dispute inside a reserved AC coach. She was later released on bail.The incident reportedly took place on August 12. Antara Banerjee was travelling towards Surat for a shoot when the alleged confrontation occurred. Reports state that she had a sleeper-class ticket but was present in an AC coach. A disagreement over seating reportedly escalated before railway officials and Railway Protection Force<\/a> personnel intervened.<\/p>\n Antara Banerjee began her career in television before moving into Hindi films. She made her television debut with ‘Gumrah: End of Innocence’, which marked her first appearance in the entertainment industry.She later appeared in the crime series ‘Savdhaan India’. Her film debut followed in 2014 with ‘The Shaukeens’, where she had a cameo role.Antara Banerjee subsequently continued working in television. She became better known after playing Pinky Ahlawat in ‘Badho Bahu’. The &TV series ran from 2016 to 2018.<\/p>\n After ‘Badho Bahu’, Antara Banerjee appeared in ‘Laal Ishq’. She played Kesar in an episodic role in the supernatural anthology series.In 2018, she joined ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’. She portrayed Suman Sharma in the popular television series. She eventually left the show in 2019, after which Ritu Chauhan took over the character.Antara Banerjee later became part of ‘Kavach 2’. She played Sanjana Jindal in the supernatural drama. Her television work has included crime, family drama and supernatural fiction.<\/p>\n Antara Banerjee has also appeared in Hindi cinema. Her film credits include ‘The Shaukeens’ and ‘Yeh Hai India’. She played a reporter in the latter.Alongside acting, Antara Banerjee has a background in classical performing arts. She is a trained Kathak dancer and has reportedly performed at several stage events in Kolkata. She has also pursued classical singing, as reported by Star Clinch website.Antara Banerjee was born into a Bengali family in Kolkata. She later moved to Mumbai with her parents while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n According to a Sunday Guardian Live report, the alleged incident occurred between Borivali and Dahanu. The confrontation reportedly took place between around 9:30 pm and 10:50 pm.The FIR states that the dispute began after a passenger raised concerns about Antara Banerjee’s ticket. A request was reportedly made for her to vacate the reserved seat. Ticket collector Harikesh Tripathi and RPF personnel were then called to the coach.RPF assistant sub-inspector Yaminikant Mishra and constable Rajesh Kumar reportedly intervened. Police allege that the disagreement became more serious after Antara Banerjee allegedly used abusive language towards officials.According to the police account, she later allegedly produced a razor blade. Yaminikant Mishra was reportedly injured during the incident. Police also alleged that Antara Banerjee injured herself and attempted to break a coach window while trying to leave.She was eventually deboarded at Dahanu and handed over to the Government Railway Police. Borivali railway police took her into custody the following morning.The FIR was registered on August 13. The case includes allegations involving assault on public servants, causing harm, endangering safety and insulting officials.
