The scheme will now continue from the financial year 2026-27 to 2030-31.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"1\"\/>The government has allocated \u20b9430.08 crore for the programme in 2026-27. <!-- -->The scheme aims to improve the employability and skills of young people in Bihar.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>According to Additional Chief Secretary (Cabinet) Md Sohail, the course curriculum will be updated to keep up with developments in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>New courses to be added<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>The updated training programme will include several new areas. These include:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"12\">\n<ul>\n<li>Solar energy<\/li>\n<li>Drone technology<\/li>\n<li>Networking<\/li>\n<li>Home nursing<\/li>\n<li>Multi-skilled laboratory technician training<\/li>\n<li>Emergency medical technician training<\/li>\n<li>Beauty and wellness<\/li>\n<li>Web and information technology<\/li>\n<li>Digital marketing<\/li>\n<li>Banking and financial services<\/li>\n<li>Tally<\/li>\n<li>Language skills<\/li>\n<li>Entrepreneurship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>The scheme currently has a network of 6,436 training centres. These centres are expected to train around 2.57 lakh youths every year.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>The government expects the programme to support both employment and self-employment. Trained candidates will be able to use their skills to find jobs or start their own businesses.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Who can apply for Kushal Yuva Programme?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The programme is open to young people aged 15 to 28 years who have passed Class 10.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/>The age limit is relaxed for certain categories:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"26\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Scheduled Caste\/Scheduled Tribe (SC\/ST):<\/strong> Up to 33 years<\/li>\n<li><strong>Other Backward Classes (OBC):<\/strong> Up to 31 years<\/li>\n<li><strong>Persons with Disabilities (PwD):<\/strong> Up to 33 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>Candidates can join the training even if they are pursuing or have already completed a higher education course or degree.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"29\"\/>Youth aged 20 to 25 years who have opted for and been sanctioned the self-help allowance are also required to complete the training.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>What does the Kushal Yuva course cover?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"33\"\/>The Kushal Yuva Programme focuses on three main areas:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"36\">\n<ul>\n<li>Life skills<\/li>\n<li>Communication skills in English and Hindi<\/li>\n<li>Basic computer literacy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>The complete course is 240 hours long. This includes 40 hours of life skills training, 80 hours of communication skills training and around 120 hours of basic computer literacy training.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>When is the Kushal Yuva exam held?<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/>The Kushal Yuva Programme examination is conducted in the last week of every month.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"44\"\/>The exam is held in four slots:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"46\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"47\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>First slot:<\/strong> 8 am to 10 am<\/li>\n<li><strong>Second slot:<\/strong> 10.30 am to 12.30 pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Third slot:<\/strong> 1 pm to 3 pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fourth slot:<\/strong> 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"48\"\/>The scheme was introduced to improve skill development opportunities for young people in Bihar by increasing training capacity, expanding access, making courses more relevant and improving awareness about skill-based education and training.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"50\"\/>Candidates can check the official Kushal Yuva Programme website for more information about registration, training centres, eligibility and examinations.<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/education\/news\/bihar-kushal-yuva-scheme-extended-till-2031-check-benefits-eligibility-and-key-details\/articleshow\/133228924.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bihar government has approved the extension of the Kushal Yuva Programme for another five years.
