Since its release in 2023, fans have been eagerly waiting for the second part of the film and as per the latest reports the sequel has finally started moving forward. The pre-production work on the film has officially begun.According to a report by India Today, director Prashanth Neel and producer Vijay Kiragandur of banner Hombale Films recently met to discuss the film and plan the next steps.<\/p>\n The two have come together to start work on the sequel, which is currently titled \u2018Salaar 2: Shouryaanga Parvam\u2019. The report further suggests that the meeting was mainly about the schedules and the final script. The makers are also planning to make the sequel much bigger than the first film.The update comes after months of uncertainty around the sequel. In January, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes picture of Prabhas and Shruti Haasan to dismiss reports that \u2018Salaar 2\u2019 had been shelved.Prabhas and Prithviraj are expected to return for the sequel. Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy and Jagapathi Babu are also expected to reprise their roles.<\/p>\n Speaking of the film, \u2018Salaar: Part 1 Ceasefire\u2019 was released in December 2023. The film focused on the friendship between Deva, played by Prabhas, and Varadha Raja Mannar, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran.The story was set in the fictional kingdom of Khansaar. The first part ended with a major revelation about Deva. It was revealed that he belongs to the Shouryaanga tribe and is the rightful heir to the throne of Khansaar.Varadha had called Deva his Salaar, but Deva\u2019s real identity changed the situation between the two childhood friends.<\/p>\n Currently, Prashanth Neel is working on his next \u2018Dragon\u2019, starring Jr NTR which is announced to be released on June 11, 2027. It can be assumed that after \u2018Dragon\u2019 Neel will focus on the much awaited sequel.
