She is survived by her husband, Akarsh, and their three-year-old son.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The accident occurred around 9 am on Anantnagar Main Road, when Medha was travelling with one of her colleagues, Ajay Guru, from Anantnagar towards Singasandra, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>\u201cA car just ahead of Guru\u2019s two-wheeler suddenly braked after a pedestrian walked towards the middle of the road. <!-- -->Guru applied the brakes, too, causing Medha to be thrown off the two-wheeler and fall onto the road, when a mini goods vehicle approaching from the opposite direction ran over her,\u201d a cop added.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Medha was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>The incident sparked outrage among residents, who blamed the poor condition of the road for the accident and questioned the civic authorities over continued neglect of the stretch.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Police, while acknowledging that the road condition was bad, clarified that preliminary findings pointed to sudden braking as the immediate cause of the accident<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>\u201cThe authorities should be held responsible for this death. The roads have been muddy and slushy because of the severe disrepair those are in,\u201d a message circulated on a local WhatsApp group said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The driver of the goods vehicle fled the spot with the vehicle soon after the accident,\u201d police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>Police said none of the bystanders noted the registration number of the mini goods vehicle. \u201cWe are checking footage from the CCTVs in the vicinity,\u201d an officer added.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/><span
