I think we&#8217;re becoming an AI-native company, and I think that is probably the number one explanation for our results,\u201d Chesky was quoted as saying.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Faster product releases with flat headcount<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s pivot toward an \u201cAI-native\u201d operational model is delivering measurable internal efficiency gains, the report said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Airbnb has reduced product development cycles by approximately 60%, allowing teams to ship 80% more features year-over-year. The second is controlled staffing as the total headcount has remained roughly flat year-to-date, with executive leadership expecting corporate revenue to outpace hiring growth for the foreseeable future.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>The company has reportedly observed efficiency gains among engineering teams as well as product management, graphic design marketing and creative services. Rather than using automated tools primarily to reduce workforce numbers, Chesky emphasised that Airbnb\u2019s core strategy focuses on maximising output per employee.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Driving growth across demand, supply and support<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Airbnb\u2019s internal metrics show tangible financial returns across customer acquisition, host onboarding and customer service operations. <!-- -->To lead the technical overhaul, Airbnb hired former Meta executive Ahmad Al-Dahle as CTO in January, granting him a mandate to modernise the platform&#8217;s core architecture.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Today, the platform utilises generative AI models to deliver personalised search recommendations, create custom listing summaries for potential guests, and assist hosts with automated pricing algorithms. While many consumer technology companies struggle to monetise generative AI features against high server inference costs, Chesky argued that Airbnb operates with a distinct economic advantage.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>\u201cWe are going to spend a lot more on AI tokens this year than we forecasted.
