She later channelled much of her wealth into supporting dance, education and the arts.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>In 2009, Kaufman donated $20 million to the Music Center to fund performances by leading international dance companies, including American Ballet Theatre. <!-- -->At the time, it was the largest individual donation to dance in Los Angeles history.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>In 2012, she fully endowed the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. Three years later, the school opened its International Dance Center.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>\u201cGlorya was a visionary in every way, particularly in recognizing the profound impact that dance brings to people\u2019s lives daily,\u201d USC Kaufman dean Julia M. (Photo: Shoot-A-house)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>The European-inspired Beverly Hills estate, dubbed Chateau de Liberte or \u201cCastle of Freedom,\u201d is now being offered for $25 million. According to Robb Report, Rachelle Rosten and Kelly deLaat of Douglas Elliman are handling the listing.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/>The proceeds from the sale will go to the Glorya Kaufman Foundation, continuing the philanthropist\u2019s commitment to arts, education and community institutions.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/>Kaufman purchased the property in 2012 for $18.2 million after downsizing from her family ranch in Brentwood\u2019s Mandeville Canyon. She renamed the estate Chateau de Libert\u00e9 and transformed it into a personal retreat reflecting her life as a philanthropist.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>She also customised the interiors to accommodate her extensive collection of fine art and furniture. Several pieces from the collection were recently featured in a sale conducted by Abell Auction Company.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Inside Chateau de Liberte<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p>Designed by architect Richard Landry and built by John Finton, the property was completed in the late 1980s.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/>A gated entrance leads to a roughly 700-foot-long driveway lined with sculptures before opening onto a cobblestone motor court.
