KOCHI: A team from Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police Station on Sunday evening took right-wing political commentator TG Mohandas into custody from his house in Mattancherry in connection with alleged remarks he made in a YouTube<\/a> video about the Jantar Mantar protest.Police sources said the Thiruvananthapuram team, with the assistance of local police, inspected his house in Koovappadam for details of his YouTube account and digital devices allegedly used to make the video.According to the FIR registered by Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police, the case was based on a complaint alleging that videos uploaded on Mohandas\u2019 YouTube channel, \u201cPathrika\u201d, were intended to disturb public peace and create fear and unrest.In the video, Mohandas allegedly said the protest by students in Delhi could lead to incidents of gang rape and claimed there would be no complaints because those attending the protest \u201clike rape\u201d and that there were girls who \u201cenjoy being raped\u201d.He also allegedly said that if he were in charge, he would impose a curfew and order the protesters to disperse, and if they refused, \u201copen fire\u201d. He claimed that although some people might be killed or permanently injured, the situation would be brought under control within hours and the bodies shifted to hospitals.The state government had faced criticism over the delay in arresting Mohandas.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
