The collection is 135% higher than the Rs 1 crore net recorded on its third Friday.‘Jana Nayagan’ sees strong Saturday growthThe film’s Day 17 performance came as a boost after a relatively slower Friday. Jana Nayagan had collected Rs 1 crore on Day 16.Its Saturday earnings more than doubled the previous day’s figure. The film was screened across 2,087 shows on Day 17.The overall occupancy for the Tamil version stood at 40.74%. The morning shows recorded 23.42% occupancy. The afternoon shows registered 40.42%. Evening shows had 39.42% occupancy, while the night shows recorded the highest figure at 48.58%.<\/p>\n The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to the film’s domestic earnings. It earned Rs 2.20 crore net on Saturday.The Hindi version added another Rs 15 lakhs to the day’s India net collection.
