<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nLeBron James<\/a>\u2019 wife Savannah James says a Herm\u00e8s saleswoman was fired after allegedly turning her and friend April McDaniel away despite having a shopping appointment at the luxury brand\u2019s store in Italy.Savannah, 39, discussed the incident during the Aug. 7 episode of Danielle Robay\u2019s Question Everything podcast, where she appeared with McDaniel. The friends recalled the experience while also opening up about the realities of life as a high-profile NBA wife and the importance of staying grounded.<\/p>\n McDaniel said she had arranged Herm\u00e8s shopping appointments for herself and Savannah while the pair traveled through Europe. According to McDaniel, their experience at the Italy store quickly went wrong.\u201cWe be hustling,\u201d McDaniel said, before claiming, \u201cthey treated us like s–t. They closed down that whole motherf—–g store.\u201d\u201cThey did,\u201d Savannah responded.McDaniel later alleged that a saleswoman refused to serve them despite their appointment. She also claimed the employee was eventually fired following the confrontation.\u201cAnd fired the lady,\u201d McDaniel said adding, \u201cI said, we\u2019ll be back for you. I\u2019ll be right back.\u201dSavannah confirmed they had an appointment, saying, \u201cWe had an appointment. And they tried to act like it was…\u201dMcDaniel made it clear she was ready to defend her friend. \u201cI said baby you caught the wrong one today,\u201d she said, describing Savannah as \u201cvery nice\u201d while joking about her own willingness to confront the situation.The experience apparently changed once the store addressed the dispute. McDaniel said the women were eventually taken into a private room, where they were offered champagne and caviar.\u201cThey brought out everything,\u201d Savannah said.McDaniel joked that she was ready to shop heavily, saying she would buy everything from bathing suits to silverware.The friends also described an allegedly similar encounter at a Chanel store in France. McDaniel claimed a sales associate repeatedly told Savannah not to touch a miniature bag, even though it was available to customers.Despite the experiences, McDaniel said they had not ruined luxury shopping for her.\u201cI\u2019m calling the boss,\u201d she said, adding, \u201cWe\u2019re closing the store down. She can go like that. You\u2019re fired.\u201d<\/p>\n The Herm\u00e8s story came during a broader conversation about Savannah\u2019s life alongside LeBron James and the pressure that can come with being married to one of basketball\u2019s biggest stars.Savannah said she wishes she had learned earlier to focus on herself as much as she focused on her partner.\u201cSomething that I didn\u2019t do earlier that I wish I would have done is to pay attention to yourself as much as you\u2019re paying attention to your partner,\u201d Savannah said. \u201cDon\u2019t lose yourself in all of the things. Don\u2019t lose yourself in the babies if they come. Don\u2019t lose yourself in the facade of what all of this looks like.\u201dSavannah and LeBron met as teenagers in Akron, Ohio, before marrying in 2003. They share three children, Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri.For Savannah, staying connected to their roots has been central to their relationship.\u201cWe are the most normal people from what the world thinks and sees,\u201d she said. \u201cWe are so from Akron, Ohio through and through.\u201dShe also stressed the patience required to support a partner through a demanding career.\u201cSo you really have to be invested in your person,\u201d Savannah said. \u201cAnd also it\u2019s a deep level of understanding \u2014 a deep level of patience that you have to have.\u201dThat message, she added, comes down to staying authentic while navigating the public expectations surrounding a high-profile relationship.\u201cBeing grounded is very, I think, important in all of it.\u201d<\/div>\n LeBron James and Savannah James.
